Connecting to the PC

Overview

It is not hard to connect to the pc with there hp49 series. There are four things you need to go through this process.

1) Your calculator in good working order

2) The mini USB cable

3) The software

4) A compatible computer (for the time being will will assume a windows computer, preferably windows xp) with a spare USB port.

Ok the first thing you need to check is that your software (and driver) is the latest version click here to vist hp for the latest version. Once you have downloaded the programs and drivers you need to install them before plugging the computer in to the 50g. Ok once you have installed the software you can simply plug the calculator into the computer. You should see the software driver then being installed. Once this is then taken care of you will then need to start up the computer program that will let you download and upload your programs.
